Can you believe it? Scott and I are celebrating our 41st wedding anniversary today! As I sit down to reflect on our journey, I’m reminded of the countless memories we’ve created together over the years.
We first met at the Sleigh House Restaurant (in the bar!) in Hamden, CT, in October 1974. Who would’ve thought that night would lead to three engagements and finally tying the knot at the Yale Divinity School? My favorite moment of that day was sitting at Doreen Brown’s kitchen table, adding up our gifts, while Scott and John washed the painted sayings off our car. (The Ross boys meant well…)
Our family has grown in ways I could have never imagined. Caitlin and Meghan have brought so much joy into our lives, and now with our grandkids – Jack, Abe, and Paisley and Logan – our hearts are fuller than ever. Watching our daughters become amazing mothers has been one of the greatest gifts of our marriage.
In 2021, we made an exciting move from Hamden to the Woodlake condos in Woodbury. This change brought a fresh start and new surroundings, adding another chapter to our shared story. We’ve enjoyed exploring our new community and making it feel like home.
Scott and I have always shared a passion for travel, and we’ve been fortunate to explore some incredible places together. From the icy beauty of Alaska and Iceland to the stunning fjords of Norway and that unforgettable river cruise through Europe, each trip has been a new adventure. These experiences have given us stories to cherish for a lifetime.
And let’s not forget our love for dining out, especially at Carlitos. We’ve spent so many evenings there, enjoying great food, I think they should have a dish named after us by now!
Through all the ups and downs, the laughs and challenges, Scott has been my rock, my partner in crime, and the best travel buddy a girl could ask for. As we celebrate this milestone, I’m filled with gratitude for the life we’ve built together and excitement for the adventures still to come.

Here’s to many more years of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. Happy 41st anniversary to us! Let’s keep this crazy, wonderful journey going.
