Post-RootsTech Adventures Day 2

Today was dedicated to getting some research done at the Family History Library.

It was a bit chilly this morning, so I bundled up.

“My name is Prymatt. I am from France,”(Coneheads!)

Cheryl is trying to gather the documentation she needs for her application to the Mayflower Society.

I am still trying to figure out if Scott’s great-grandmother, Catherine Kenney Seeley Fitz-Allen, was born in the US or Ireland.

I had one small success finding that one of her sisters, Frances, said she came to US in 1852. She said that on the 1900 census. But she also said she was born in Albany on two other censuses!!! So….hmm. More work to be done.

Cheryl did pretty well. She was able to print out a bunch of documents that she needed.

We went back to our room after lunch to tidy up and pack our bags. I guess I was a little tired as evidenced by this pic.

But, I got revenge on Cheryl. She was very proud to have thought ahead and buy a new package of underwear, Too bad when she opened the package, she saw this.

So much for trusting the labels on the rack at Kohls

We ended our day by walking down to the City Creek Mall to watch the Fire and Water fountain show. After about 10 minutes of fountains shooting up haphazardly and no evidence of any fire element, we asked a security guard about it. He said they were having “technical difficulties.” Oh well, maybe next year.

Early bedtime tonight. We have an Uber coming to pick us up at 4:20 tomorrow morning. Thanks for spending the week with me! Hope you enjoyed our escapades!!
